Virginia Man sentenced to 10 months for brandishing gun at sanitation worker

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A 25-year-old man will serve jail time for pointing a gun at a sanitation worker in 2022. The man was sentenced to 10 months in jail for misdemeanor brandishing. On Dec. 21, 2022, a sanitation worker did not collect the man’s recycling because he had improper materials in his recycling bend.

Court documents show that the man then drove up to the worker’s truck, blocked her path, got out of his vehicle, and began yelling at her. Despite the victim explaining why his recycling items could not be collected, the man walked to his car, retrieved a gun and pointed it at her before he finally drove away. Read Full Article >
